"Phew, this is exhausting," Mahalia winged to herself as she climbed the steep hill towards the pokemon lab. She stopped and turned to look down at the town which looked a lot smaller from where she was. She sighed again turning to complete her journey up the hill. She was thinking of which pokemon she would really like. If there was an Eevee in stock she would definately take it thinking of all the possibilities of evolution.

Finally she made it to the top of the hill and let go a deep breath of exhaustion and relief, "Made it, finally," she said to herself looking from where she had came to the large door of the pokemon lab, "Here goes nothing," she said and with that knocked hard against the large door.

Gazing up from his deck, James smiled and stood. Finally another rookie had arrived. He had been waiting. "Don't be shy. Come on in." He called out in a cheery voice, moving closer to the door to pull it open and greet the newcomer.
"Greetings miss. I'm one of Professor Yurnable's assistants. The name's James. It seems he isn't around at the moment so prehaps I can show you around, and give you what you need to start your journey as a trainer." After opening the door, he waved Mahalia over to where he was standing as he put away a couple of folders.

"Oh hello James, I'm Mahalia," she said picking up her pace and following him into the lab and watched in moving around the room., "Well that's exactally why I'm here, I would really like a pokemon to start my journey," she told the man.

"Well hello Mahalia. It's nice to meet you. Now please, follow me back to where the pokemon are being kept. I'm afraid we don't have many in at the moment. I'm sure you will find one though." James smiled, walking outside to the small pokemon enclosure. All the pokemon were there, playing together. "Take as long as you like to choose. I'm sure you will find what you want." He then moved back so that Mahalia could get into the area.

Mahalia smiled as she walked past james and into the room where all the pokemon were. She loved the sight of pokemon playing, it relaxed her. then she saw it, the pokemon she wanted for her own. Over in the corner sat a little Eevee, not playing with the other pokemon. "Excuse me, James?" she said turning to him, "Why is that Eevee all by itself?" she asked pointing to it.

He glanced up at her words. "Hmm...?" He gazed to where she pointed, spotting the small lonesome Eevee. With a sigh he walked over to it and stroked its fur. "This little one? Well, I believe it is because its friend, a Budew was claimed not long ago and now it feels like it doesn't belong. Or it could just be sulking, I'm not all that sure with this one." Smiling, he picked up the Eevee. "It's rather cute though, isn't it?"

"It is very cute indeed," Mahalia said petting the Eevee on the top of it's head. "I wonder, may I please choose it as my pokemon? Is it a boy or a girl?" she asked ver excited about getting a pokemon and this little Eevee would be perfect.

"This little one is a female." He smiled, handing her to Mahalia and walking off. "Wait right here, I will be back shortly I just need to grab something. Won't take long at all."
In a few minutes James returned with a small bundle of things. "Here you are. Your pokeballs, pokedex and trainer ID are here. All you have to do is fill out some papers."
